SASC Advances Nominations of LTG Fenton, LtGen Langley, 12 Additional Military Promotions

The Senate Armed Services Committee today voted by voice en bloc to favorably report out a list of 14 pending military promotions in the Army, Navy, Air Force, and Marine Corps. Included in this list are the nominations of:

-Lieutenant General Bryan P. Fenton, USA to be general and Commander, U.S. Special Operations Command; and
-Lieutenant General Michael E. Langley, USMC to be general and Commander, U.S. Africa Command. 

The nominations were immediately reported to the floor following the Committee’s action.
