SASC Advances Nomination of Gen. Eric Smith to be Commandant of the Marine Corps

On Wednesday, June 21, the Senate Armed Services Committee voted to report out favorably the nomination of General Eric Smith, USMC, to be Commandant of the Marine Corps.

The committee also voted to report out favorably the nomination of Major General Leonard Anderson, USMC, to be Commander of Marine Forces Reserve and Marine Forces South.

The nominations were immediately reported to the floor following the Committee’s action.
